No more Mouse Traps

Bottom line is you are what you create. If you are creating poor quality and expecting to sell via shucking and jiving then in all you are not a creator...instead a shucker and jiver... I'd rather create to the point where I'm beyond satified. I don't think we are in the position to continue to create poor products / services and expect patronage. Forget the mouse trap build a pyramid.

Just saw AL ROKER

Ok so I'm just getting back from lunch and felt I had to post this most recent compelling moment. So Ludhi (Co-worker) and I just came back from getting a hotdog and slurpee at 7-eleven. If you do not know about the famous 7-Eleven slurpees then I feel sorry for you...

Anyway, near the corner of 82nd and Lexington; (Manhattan) not too far from the Metropolitan Museum of Art, we sat down and started to eat our lunch while chilling with slurpees. When all of a sudden we notice this fairly short black man attempting to throw a bike into the back seat of his NEW MERCEDES CONVERTABLE; with the top down. First thing that came to my mind was...and I spoke out loud, this guy must be really rich to be flinging a bike into a Mercedes backseat. It seemed he had no care of the scratches being left behind on his silvered paint.

So I get a better glimpse of the man; since he is literally right across the street, and come to find out its...AL ROKER (NBCs TODAY). So Ludhi and I basically just staired for a moment, noticing he was a real person afterall. As we slurp our slurpees and finish off our hotdogs he starts to come across the street. Ludhi does not know what to say...so I say in my "get your attention distinguished voice"...MR. ROKER!!! He comes by and shakes our hand and from there makes his way into one of the brownstones. Well that's really all that happened. However, what came to mind is that I should carry business cards and books everywhere I go from now on. You never know when opportunity knocks on your door!

MORTALLY IMMORTAL!!!

Drawing the Impossible

Today, I start preparing for the long month of September. Oh yes, September...the month when the wind decides to blow warm or gives us a hint of the fall and winter to come. I must say that I'm not really a blogger but there is a first for everything. The poem that I am putting together today is called "Drawing the Impossible", from the 7th volume "The Mirror's Other Side". 2009 has been a very interesting and insightful year to say the least. If any a good thing could have taken place it has...if any painful and uneventful thing has taken place it has. So with all things GOD is GOOD!

Good thing is the book "Mortally Immortal" will be in stores late this October; early November, nationwide. I am so blessed by all the awesome reviews and beautiful guestbook posts. Keep them coming. My gameplan is to change thought process through love and dedication. To help people to keep moving forward through the understanding that there is nothing to gain or receive unless by due trial and commitment to your beliefs. We all have a calling in life...Things Take Time!!!

Looking forward to sharing my experiences, thoughts, photos, and emerging technologies with you all in a positive way. Keep coming back!!! Trust...this is just the beginning...

P.S. Practicing my performances...we do things professionally...now there is a Piano and Sax player on the team!!!
